POST PRODUCTION

Double Identity is now in its Post Production stage after 6 days of non-stop filming earlier this month. Overall filming went to plan although it wasn't easy to get all the shots in the amount of time scheduled. Post Production is another challenge which i'm currently in the process of. The amount of shots and editing required is massive and is definitely not an easy task.

MEET THE SNYDER FAMILY

Meet the family who lives double lives. Max Snyder on the left, Jay Snyder in the middle and Natalie Snyder on the right. These characters will be the key to the film Double Identity.

LOCKED IN, WELL ALMOST.....

Less then one week till shooting the pressure is intense to say the least.... Locations are locked in which is excellent. Actors well, I can say most are locked in....

During the next few days i will finalise the shots that will be used in the 5 days of non-stop filming from next Thursday. I have seen Double Identity in my mind and I know what I want exactly, its just the matter of making my vision come to life which I will try my very best to achieve. At this stage I really can't wait till the shoot is over and for the post production process to begin.

LOCKING IT IN

With just over 2 Weeks till filming commences the pressure is on! At this stage i'm trying to lock in actors and locations. I have the majority of the cast locked and with the locations, half have been locked in. A Pre-Production meeting will be held this Wednesday morning for all crew members to attend for me to inform them of the proposed schedule and plans.

There will be 6 days of filming from October 6th to 11th October. Keep checking this blog as I'll keep it updated with the latest information. The image above is a Chinese Garden in a Temple I plan to film at.

CASTING IN PROCESS

With the film shoot of Double Identity approaching in just over a month time is slowly running out.... A cast call has been put up this week for actors to apply for the 7 roles that are available. I plan to run auditions early next month to find the perfect actor for each role. Along with rehearsals shortly after which is especially important for the fight scenes which require choreographing. I have come to a conclusion that it won't be easy to cast some of the actors due to my specific requirements. An example is the main evil character who has to be of Asian appearance aged around 40 with martial art skills but I believe i can find the right actor.

In addition the hunt for epic locations is still on the go. I currently have 2 locations locked in, still 3 locations left to find. The image above is the view from one of my locations.

DOUBLE IDENTITY GENERAL UPDATE

Double Identity is coming along well but there is still heaps to work on. Actors, Locations and most of all the script still needs to be locked down. I plan to put a cast call up within the next 2 weeks for actors to audition. With just under 9 weeks until shooting i feel like i need everything organised as soon as possible so when it comes to the 5 days of intense filming things will run smoothly with out any dramatic dramas. My goal is to organise everything as early as possible so i can focus on the finer details of the film.

LOCATION SCOUTING

I'm currently in the process for location scouting for Double Identity. I have come to a conclusion that it won't be easy due to scale of the locations i want. One of the locations include a rooftop of a skyscraper building. I have contact several building managers requesting permission but no success yet. There are hundreds of buildings in the Melbourne CBD so i do believe that i will hopefully find a building manager who will agree to me filming on a rooftop building.

There are currently 5 locations proposed in the script as i need these locations for my vision to work. Definitely no easy task due to the limited budget and resources but i believe i will be able to do this.
